Was fortunately between missions in Singleplayer Campaign when got kicked to main menu - wth!
Not the first time but this time was super annoying....
And to read there are several threads about this -
is there any acknowledgement of the problem much less a fix?
pos I don't care about signing into anything anyway - why force this on us - only to have it bugged out? What am I signed into anyway? wth? heck with achievements or Steam whatever - or multiplayer - don't want to participate in any of that - and moreso now that there is this annoying bug! wth!
Super annoying....
Relic's reputation takes a hit on this (or is this Steam?)
Seems their spyware is more important than their actual product.
When data-collection takes priority over product - all a customer can do is look elsewhere....
What's the problem?
..After spending over an hour assigning armour, weapons, hardware accessories, (grenades etc), Tools and setting all 6 characters' abilities with points, ALL of that got reverted to default when this malware triggered a pop up on my screen, sending me back to the main menu and wiping over an hour of progress.
I don't have Steam overlay active for games because of this very reason. My computer considers these things as malware and so do I.
My internet connection is fibre optic and was solid during this unwanted intrusion of my privacy.
Collective voting by ACTIONS is the only way to make sleazy, grease-ball, greedy corpos think twice.
Think first about who you are willing to part your money to; Companies who have gambling or spy/malware in their products, or wholesome companies who just want to produce an honest game for their customers? Think about it. Oh- and thanks for making this thread, at least I now know there wasn't some kind of bug or glitch going on and that this was, albeit unwanted, intentional.
