It's quite entertaining and so far does indeed play as an individual chapter in the life & times of the Sherlock Holmes + Watson characters.

And after a while I played the first of the old games (Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened, which is great btw) I found out that it is related to this one and it would have been better if I played The Awakened first.
So I decided to complete the old ones and then play the new ones just in case I don't run into something like that again.
As for the rest of the old and new games I don't know if there is any relation between them bacause I haven't played them yet.
Thanks, I just bought this game and the newer ones (Crimes and Punishment and The Devil's Daughter) during Steam Summer Sale a few weeks ago :D
