Plundering Achievment?

Hi. I am trying to get the Plundering achievement but cant seem to get it. I attack the trader ships and even automate the battle, but the achievement just does not unlock. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?

Achievements are patchy at best. Keep trying and it May or May Not unlock.

Yes, this game's achievement tracker is broken. Sometimes it works, other times doesn't.

Try playing A Pirate's Life campaign/scenario and then activate Piracy mode. Also try to manually control the battle.

Unfortunately it didn't worked. If I find a way to unlock the achievement I will definitely post it here as soon as I get the achievement.

Hi "The Great Detective".
A few people asking about this. You need to disconnect your internet and launch the game (or launch in offline mode). If on the home screen you get an "error connecting to steam achievement database" (or similar) restart the game.

Sadly achievements were bugged at release and never repaired.

The game's trophy manager won't run offline. Yes, I do the trick as well. You need to disconnect mid-launch, before the logo animation appears. But if you're too soon, the trophy manager won't run just like when you start offline. And then do the actions required to unlock the achievements.

It's difficult. But I've managed a few achievements this way. This frustrating game is frustrating. Rise of Venice work better and work offline, but the game is just not as good.
