Nation reputation loss problem
I just started playing the trader campaign, I was told that I should not let the rep get below 25%, I look at them and they are at 50%, it should be fine right? After some time happily trading I realise that 3 of them were at 25%, since then, I have been hopping from city to city searching for quests which seem rare and tedious because of the loading screen to see if there is one and I'm not making much progress in keeping them all up, I have not been able to do any trading or campaign progress, which is what I enjoy doing, not quests.

killing pirates jacks them up high. There may be better ways but I tend to stay at peace with all sides until I can take out a couple of pirate bases. Then I get a letter of marque that targets the city I want, capture it, kill more pirate base, repeat until I have my own colony.

you can get a lot of rep from the governer etc quests to haul X to Y. Keep 1 dumb ship for doing that, if you want, like a cheap fluyt. Loading screen should be instant nearly on anything built after like 2000. Its annoying, but it shouldnt be slow.

25% is the cutoff for them to go hostile on you. They will NOT go below 25 without your misdeeds making that happen. If you just trade and build, you can let all sides fall to 25 safely and work on that later when you want to annex / war /pirate/whatever.

You don't need to load the city screen to trade or seek out quests.

When your fleet has entered a city you can press your Mouse Wheel button to bring up the city quick menu. From here you can go to the Inn, Dock, Shipyard, Govenor etc. pretty much everything except the Architect and Making Fleets. If there is a task or notable person in one of the normal locations (Inn, Govenor's Mansion) there is a head on the location.

If you don't have a fleet in the city but you do have a warehouse in the city you have all the options available. If you have no fleet or warehouse in the city you have only the option to see the City Status.
