In the words of the dev when asked about a road-map or any other kind of timeline (which they have been releasing updates on their discord and answering any questions people have):

"We were going to release it sooner, but it's not entirely up to us. A bunch of boring biz-dev stuff is taking longer than anticipated, but the good news is that it should all wrap up sometime soon. Once it does, we’ll be ready to share what’s next. Thanks for your patience!"

More updates (even if small) would definitely be appreciated. I'm excited for the game but we only got two updates in all of 2024.
