Tip for crashing on Nvidia, try locking your framerate.
As I'm sure everyone is well aware, Colors Ultimate is a bad remaster. Technically it's a mess, with almost no options in the game for video settings and whatnot, and it's a shame since the original game on Wii was really good. I got to a point here where the game became practically unplayable as it would crash sometimes on just selecting a zone (let alone trying to play a level).

Here's what I did to try and get it to work on an Nvidia card:

In Nvidia control panel, lock the framerate (I put it at 60, but you can test it and see what works best for you), then set power management to prefer maximum performance, and enable triple buffering to help smooth out some of the stuttering(seems to get it manageable, but doesn't completely eliminate it) as well as decrease the load times.

I've tried this so far with Tropical Resort, Starlight Carnival, Planet Wisp, Asteroid Coaster, and the Nega Wisp Armor and haven't crashed. Before I couldn't even finish Tropical Resort Act 1 without crashing. Hopefully this can help someone.

EDIT: I'd also recommend putting your game in Fullscreen with V-Sync on. For some reason in my experience that seems to work better, but your results may vary.
