They also replaced the original lives system with a new Tails save system where he rescues and puts you on solid ground if you fall, making an already easy game even easier. You also cannot change it back to the old lives system unlike Sonic X Shadow Generations. They even removed multiple save slots, limiting you to just one when you had 6 on Wii.
If you have access to a Wii console, I wouldn't even bother getting either the Standard or Deluxe Editions. While the Movie Sonic skins are nice and all, that still doesn't make it worth getting IMO especially given how bad the remaster itself was. I'm still finding Wii copies for about a quarter of the price of this remaster in retro game shops and online.
If you dont like the looks, there is rainbow mod (I think thats how it called)
The install is super easy and besides - there's a mod to play as Shadow
Nevertheless, the music is awesome, lots of levels, you can unlock Super Sonic
The only downside is - the game is pretty easy unless you going for All S Ranks
