Denuvo on a remaster of a Wii game that's released over a year after the version on epic games
I waited a year for a steam version, by which point I learned the Wii version is superior. I'll wait another for denuvo to be removed.

Actually, i would recommend to play the DS version, since in my opinion, thats the superior version over Wii and Ultimate.

So that's two Sonic games I'm waiting on either a disinfection or a steep discount until the pricing is appropriate for the rental that Denuvo makes it be.

Meanwhile I'm planning to buy Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection, having done a deep dive on Capcom's publishing history to discover they have an almost perfect record of removing Denuvo when it stops being necessary.

Feedback for you, Sega: Learn how to remove the death sentence from your games when you drop support for them. I want to buy your games at full price but your track record on ensuring they won't get permanently broken down the line is so abysmal that it cannot be justified.

Sega just isn't listening. The game is already out there on the high seas, but they still do this to paying customers.

This exactly, if I could assume SEGA would remove denuvo down the line (like I assume for Capcom games), I'd have no issue buying this.

I've bought basically everything Sonic on Steam so far, but I'm tired of this. Sega's been told time and time again that Denuvo makes a measurable performance impact, is generally invasive and bad for compatibility, and even other third parties that still use it almost always remove it a few months later. But not Sega, of course. Mania was the only game to remove it, and it made a significant difference. None of the other Sonic games launching with Denuvo have removed that trash DRM.

I'm not buying this release until Denuvo is removed.

The only 2 Sonic games that I'm missing in my Steam library is Sonic Frontiers and Sonic Colors. And it's because of Denuvo. Literally.

I got Frontiers on Xbox Series X and Sonic Colors in PS4, both physical. And on the PS4, this was back before stopping supporting Sony as well due to all the censorship they have been doing since they moved headquarters to the US.

They remove Denuvo: I buy the games.
Either that, or with a really heafty discount.
Other than that: I'm keeping my money.

The game hasn't been cracked yet, so you can guess the reason why it still has Denuvo.

Denuvo does feel a bit senseless on a game like this, it's a remaster of an old game , it's not going to break sales records or anything, it's aimed at a niche audience who will pay and I doubt there's a whole army of pirates waiting to download it lol. Denuvo isn't a problem until you're in a situation such as if you move house and you're waiting for internet to be set up... and then all of a sudden you find some games just won't launch, I learned that lesson a long time ago circa 2015 when I bought Arkham Knight and that happened

There's also a Switch version of this game, which means people are absolutely playing on the PC for free. This is a remaster of a Wii game that had a ton of exclusivity on another storefront, it absolutely doesn't need extra DRM anymore. (Then again, it's SEGA, they put Denuvo into Genesis games, so this isn't even remotely surprising.)

Not to mention I already have a copy of the original Wii version which is still dirt cheap and easy to come by, and also emulates really well on Dolphin with none of the problems this remaster has.

sega is stuck in a loop thinking denuvo will keep ♥♥♥♥ secure when they already got the damn sales of the game back when it released in 2021 so theres no need for denuvo on the game

I'm sure the $2.5k they made from the 90 people who bought this garbage will easily cover the costs of the DRM.

Even if your PC can´t run a switch emulator, the wii version is still out there and emulators can improve graphics and FPS rate with patches and settings.
Denuvo is worthless here, in persona 3 portable, in Project Diva and every other Sega PC port that is available in other systems.

I just wanted to point another reason why Denuvo is useless in this game.
Glad there are console versions of most Denuvo games.
