Getting to a boss and realising my current build clearly CAN'T KILL IT before I die, forget about the A.I. teamates they couldn't fight their way out of a wet paper bag
Sorry you hit those walls, that does sound really aggriviating for a game that tbh lasts longer than i think it should for it's quasi run-based nature. I played on normal and didn't end up running into any serious trouble, but i also invested heavily in vulkans really early and those kill almost anything without much trouble. Also, if it helps at all, you can micromanage your squad's movements to get behind bosses with the Defend Position command in the rts view. That might make them more effective for the bosses that have strong directional defenses or gimmicks, or to get them to get away from siad bosses if hurt.
But yeah, i plan to replay this in a couple of months when things settle into place more. Might not be a bad idea to just walk away from it and see what changes in a week or two.
it doesn't work, invisibility is that one thing bosses just abuse non-stop to make sure A.I. teammates are UTTERLY WORTHLESS since their flavor of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is as soon as their shields drop they turn invisible until their shields come back in 5 seconds or so
