if only melee weapons were better. Maybe there are newer ones later on, but my craft list says otherwise.
As of writing this I am on day 42.
Just tired of constantly banging my head against the wall and dying entirely too fast (because of infinitely respawning enemies) while doing no damage to the boss at all. I can't even bring him down to red. It would've been nice to build UP to this, but the sudden difficulty spike out of nowhere, unable to really do anything, is a real mood killer, tbh. I was actually enjoying the game up to this point.
You might be able to beat him, make sure you bring the melee girl as your secondary, she is the only way you can keep him occupied while you do the damage. Your time limit is basically until she dies.
If you have them available, i HIGHLY recommend heavy machineguns with anti-shield attachments. For you other weapon something with high pen for guaranteed damage would be good. He has about 40k HP (not including the annoying shield.)
What weapons are you running?
combat unit 1 is a heavy unit with a heavy machinegun while combat unit 2 is a mobile unit for melee
I've been running Mary and Cecile (or whatever the paladin/tank girl's name is, I forget) this whole time (she's using a howitzer)
Equip cold damage and an explosive weapon with Cold damage mod. The Titan can be frozen and and it loses invisibility and shields when it does so its free damage. This method netted me minimal damage.
I find the howitzer is bad, since its spread explosive damage can damage your allies. Cannons or Rapid grenades seem better as you can control the explosion better.
Yeah, I was trying to flank him, but he just outsurvives me because of the adds around him spamming me with lasers and ****, lol. I had no idea I could actually MOVE my allies from the strategy menu though.
I remember I clicked 'free formation' or something like that at some point, but I was dead, so it just told me "no one to control" or something of the sort. My units just stayed near the gate and never approached anything, and just got picked off from a distance by lasers, lol. I guess I'll try the ordering thing next time and see if it makes a difference.
Well, having them stay in place certainly isn't working, so I have to try SOMETHING. I have the combat units set to 'annihilate' or 'assault', I forget which. Either way, neither of them help much since they usually die even faster than I do, so gg, I guess.
