What order do these games go in?
I've got RF1, RF2, Armageddon, Guerrilla remastered and guerrilla steam. I haven't plaid since I was back on Win7 but I booted these up and they started for me on win 10. with all that in mind, is there an order to play them? I have lots hours on RF1 but never finished it, so I know the basics. I'd just hate to break a storyline but I don't want to obsess over it so much I have to spend hours getting any specific one to run.

Red Faction 0 = Movie
Red Faction 1 = I believe is the Beginning
Red Faction 2 = I believe is a Sequel to the 1st Game, but most likely a Joke Story...
Red Faction 3 Guerrilla = I believe takes place with the Death of a previous Char? So Sequel?
Red Faction 4 Armageddon = I believe this is the Last of the Story
Red Faction Battlegrounds = Prob has a Story, but it's Mainly Car Racing, Unrelated to Org Story.

I have only completed RF2 & RF3 so far...
Played some of RF1 Story, & Multiplayer of RF4...

Good Luck... I know for a Fact, the Movie is a Pre-Quel to RF1, though...
Even though the Movie wasn't that great...

May be a late reply but here is the order:
- RF 1, the literal beginning and original story
- RF 2, the cannon sequel and good look at the state of a single earth country (before the abolishment of the commonwealth and unification of the red faction earth compliment and what becomes the EDF in red faction guerilla.
-RF G, back to mars 3 generations after the events of the first game.
- red faction movies (there are two, but they are not necessary to the plot)
-RF Armageddon, the Armageddon in this title refers to the end of the series due to a generic story and lack of features from red faction guerilla to the "cannon sequel" forcing it down the path of your typical third person zombie-esk shooter.

Thanks! And LOL @ the description, but true.

Everything past 2 is so radically different that I don't even acknowledge them as RF games
As far as I'm concerned, RF1 and 2 are the only relevant games to play
People like to dog RF2 but I like it. It's more cartoony asthetic isnt the greatest thing but it's still a solid play

I just went the 4k route with my new monitor, tried RF-G again and it's surprisingly nimble for it's age. So many games never made the leap beyond 1080. And even some of those were pushing it.

Just play Red Faction Guerrilla. The storyline in these games doesn't really matter, but the destruction based gameplay in that game is the most developed of any in the series. Honestly, replaying the first game now I can't understand the praise for its geomod system beyond the novelty. It takes way too much ammo to be remotely useful and is only neccessary in terms of gameplay a handful of times. Whereas Guerrilla actually has segments which rewards not only the spectacle of destruction, but the finesse with which the player can utilize its physics.
