Why Can't I Play as an Elf???

I see that elves are one of the three races you have in the game and you have models for them but for some incomprehensible reason you have made it so we can't play as an elf! Why? You can play as the other two races you've made...so why not???

Elves are my favorite race and it is infuriating that you have made them in your game but I cannot play as one! Intolerable! Incomprehensible! Indefensible!

Please make ELVES playable ASAP!!!!

You can make an elf, I don't think race is gonna play much of a role for the player as BG3, its more so body type and armour if I had to guess.

Because elves cannot be Arisen. Elves do not sleep.

You can make an Elf, there are Elven ears in the character creator.

You don't get any stats from your choosen species

just make your ears pointy in the character creator and allow your arisen the skill to understand elvish. boom elf.

You are not an Elf and you are not (I hope) a lollie. So, no playing an Elf and no playing a Lollypop.

You can make an elf, but the game likely sees you as a human and not an actual elf.

jesus people are so entitled these days. you can make your character look like an elf with pointy ears. if the game doesn't have something you like, that doesn't give you the right to demand it. just go play something else.

You even need to decipher some Elven language this time around so yes there are officially elves in this game just not our Arisen/Pawn.

Must be some plot reason or they just couldn't make it work (more variables etc).
