A mod like that is easily done with cheat engine so within an hour or so expect cheat tables and a few hours after that trainers from Wemod and Mr Fling.
This. It depends on what people call "mods". visual modifications will be possible to a certain degree, some vocations and numbers tweak too, maybe new skills, but that's pretty much it.
If you're waiting for some type of multiplayer mod or anything that touches the engine, keep waiting, it's most likely never happening unless some genius hacker finds that one crack in the code and builds a modding tool (some games get those years or a decade later).
I don't consider unlimited weight as cheating, especially in a game like DD where you can just pause and fully heal without consequence. I am just not a fan of micromanaging loot, and tbh i generally play through the game without even using the items regardless but just don't like getting encumbered in games and having to choose what to throw away constantly.
That quest with the stone tablets for example was horrendous as I had to end up throwing away half of my inventory to just finish the quest. Which was annoying as hell.
Weight mechanics are not an enjoyable feature for me, especially in a loot game like this as there was never a "choice" you had to make in DDA as we had a bank, it was just annoying having to go to the bank constantly to put in items, i rather have everything all in one space.
Unlimited weight doesn't make the game easier, it just takes away the loot micromanagement. Especially with a game that has crafting also, and needing the right items, i'd rather be able to see at a glance what I can combine rather than having to look up a guide, go to the bank, take out the items i need, and then combine etc. Rather just do it all myself without guides
well that is part of being difficult games having to choose what keep and what not to and unlimited weight definitely makes the game easier you are lying to yourself if you think it doesnt
i disagree. tedious does not equal difficulty. while i like inventory managment (for ♥♥♥♥♥ sake i like escape from tarkov) i personaly dont see it as difficulty in an game. especially if its an singleplayer game that pauses once you enter the inventory.
While I disagree with that, equipment is definitely something I always remove in these types of games it does break the balance a little but it makes the game a lot more fun I will never find encumbering mechanics fun
So yes.
I have to partially agree with you. Tedium can be used as a difficulty ayatem but I don't like when it is used as a difficulty system.
Another thing I despise is boss immunity phases. But that is a different topic.
