This game seems repetitive, I'm worried.. 😓
Does anyone else feels like this game will be repetitive? It's a game focused on combat, will be a big mistake if it's repetitive.

Elden Ring DLC trailer has more variety of enemies and areas than ALL Dragon's Dogma 2 trailers and gameplays together.
All videos always show the same enemies and same areas. :winter2019neutralbulb:

Because people think more is better, which is usually not the case. I will take quality over quatility ANY day of the week and given how dynamic the enemies are in this game, no fight will be the same even with the same enemy type. Also the amount of enemies in DD2 so far is a very good number imo, so its not even an issue.

Just take the Ogre as an example, I have seen them clinging on walls, doing drop kicks, grabing your characters to eat them, and then you have the environmental stagger system where you can attack one leg enough to make them tumble in unique ways, or trigger some environmental trap to knock them down.

The funny thing about the combat in DD2 from what I have seen, is that just fighting ONE enemy type would have more variation to encounters then fighting 25+ different enemies in a game like Elden Ring lol. ER has TONS of enemies but when they are all fought the same way they are not really that memorable.

Each fight in DD2 i guarantee you will be a memorable experience because each big enemy has their own gimmicks/weakness to play around with and the physics system alone will cause some hilarious moments.
You can't make "guarantees" when you haven't played the game. That's just ridiculous. And no, a few minutes of scheduled marketing material is not sufficient either. Your letting your imagination take precedent over your critical thinking. It's fine to be excited, but if you get as hyped as you are with so little to base it on then you are setting yourself up for dissapointment. And yes actually, more enemy types is better. It's not like the threshold for different enemies to be qualitative is that high. They can be both abundant and well made, it's not that hard.
nah , you actually can't make too much diversity out of the DD lore , it would feel really off from whatt actually the world its trying to be.
And what's is this world trying to be? a ''realistic'' medieval fantasy world , enemies are kind of a animal of the real world , they have their specific places to be , and there cant be a extreme variaton of creatures on a same biome. It would like seeing a bear , a giraffe and a penguin in a forest , it would feel really really off.

NEXT.
lol you dont even use weapon art to win. Which cancerous build did you make to win easily like that?
Btw, Elden Ring has a lot of unique bosses and someone say they all fight the same way. lol
lot of unique bosses , 12 ulcerated trees , 6 erdtree avatars , 10 dragons , 3 magma wyrm.
that without counting the recycled normal enemies as bosses or the 90% main bosses being absolutely the same thing.

and it doesnt matter the build , its always a cheese cake. Played first run as a sorcerer and it was kindergarden difficulty , a friend told me that playing sorcerer was cheating the game. So i played with dual flails , still kindergarden difficulty. :steamfacepalm:

that's doesnt sound like ''about 4 new enemies at best'' :steamfacepalm:

people should learn to count or at least not playing a videogame in the most stubborn way possible and missing half of the game.

Medusa, Sphinx, and Talos are most likely 1 time boss fights.
yes and? just like every other game where you fight the boss once.

Garm and Sphinxes are not new. Begone tourist.

Garm were a constant threat on Bitterblack Isle due to being attracted by carrion, and sphinxes were an enemy in Dragon's Dogma Online.

Did Elden Ring reuse enemies? Yes! Dragon's Dogma also reuses a lot of enemies.
The problem: Dragon's Dogma has a disappointing and limited number of unique enemies.
Making the game repetitive, being overshadowed even by Skyrim.
And apparently Dragon's Dogma 2 has the same problem.

Elden Ring has TONS of unique enemies, over 200 UNIQUE enemies including bosses.

Like I said, Elden Ring is the most awarded game in history and extremely positively rated by players. whether you like it or not.

Let's see if DD2 can overcome it... I doubt it. ^^

You're such a big shill. That means you only have 4 monsters you're going to fight more than a game from 11 years ago, even less if you count DDO.

100% man. These people are just in so much denial and copium for this game. It's not better than ER, even leakers have said so.

This is a forum for discussing the game. If that's too complex for you, why not go somewhere else?

Bro, save your steam points for something else. I'm just trying to help you.
World of Warcraft is one of the most repetitive braindead games out there, and they've been running for 20 years, doing the same thing, with people playing the same gameplayloop thinking it will be better the next expansion.

Oh boy we already have people calling others "shill" just because they disagree with their opinions, and other people don't like their "blessed game" Elden Ring. It was going so well before, what happened?

Why do discussions ALWAYS devolve into this? This is not some Hivemind world where everyone just agrees with everything. Plenty of people will think that ER is "trash", some will think DD2 is "trash" and both side could use better words to explain their opinions on these games.

You know the big difference between the 2 type of people though? One has actually PLAYED Elden Ring themselves and came to their own conclusions (you know because the game is out). The other has NEVER touched DD2 (you know because it not out) and are spreading their preconceived NEGATIVE bias towards the game for various reasons. Also If your already looking up leaks for a game like this odds are your not interested in the game at all, and are ONLY looking for things to complain about or to add more fuel to your already negative bias.

To the people getting mad that others don't care much for your "precious Elden Ring" I would say GROW UP and stop getting so mad that people don't agree with you. This is a DD2 forum, so if you want everyone to hug and hold hands while talking about "how good" Elden Ring is then go to the ER forums.
