I am REALLY excited for the backlash and inevitable ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that will be discussions about this game post release. There are so many people who just have no idea what DD is and what the aesthetic goal it is working towards. There's gonna be a million video essays on youtube about "respecting the players time" and "should you REALLY have to actually play a game you bought instead of getting the experience drip fed to you through skippable content". Dragon's Dogma is probably my favorite game of all time and nothing in me wants more then the sequel to be twice of a "slog" and twice as punishing.

Who cares what DDDA was?

BG1/2 didn't hurt BG3 at all, and BG3 is nothing like BG1/2. Loved BG1/2, was concerned about BG3 being turnbased with so many differences from 2e, was sold on how good it is on its own.

DDDA was a very good game and I want DD2 to be a good game so I want to it be like DDDA
