Why is the price so high? Are they stupid?
People are going to pirate the hell out of this game way more than usual. Back when games were a luxury people couldn't afford, people pirated games because... they couldn't afford them.

What the hell do they think is going to happen if the game is so expensive? It's 95 dollars here in Canada, never mind what it costs in other places with even worse exchange rates, like Brazil. They're just condemning a good portion of potential sales to piracy...

Mind you, I'm still going to buy it... at some point when I can afford it, the cost of living in Canada being what it is; The only reason I will be purchasing it is cause I enjoyed the first one so much, though. Maybe in a couple of years. On sale. :(

There was one person left cracking Denuvo and that one's gone MIA for a long time now. It's not how you remember with groups trying to be first. At least not when it comes to Denuvo.

People who like quality games will continue to pay higher prices for the games themselves and the hardware required to run them at the desired resolution.

demand and supply. its simple economics.
people willing to pay means there is a market for it, they would be foolish not to take advantage of this market in a capitalistic society.

you can always wait for a sale.

I wish Capcom raised the price by 1 CAD for every whiny complaint like this

People in the American market will be willing to pay that because it doesn't seem unreasonable to them yet, but every other market will suffer beyond those who are big fans and would pay literally any price. Everybody else will pirate. I want to see this game win global success like Helldivers 2 or something similar, but I'm afraid that the vast majority would rather pay 10 dollars for a VPN subscription and pirate the game. I'm willing to wait.

whatever the case, the global market shows this game at number 3 in the top grossing games on steam, its been firmly in the top 5 for at least two to three weeks.

and no one gonna pirate this time due to the pirate doing it being missing entirely.

so spend your 10 dollars on a vpn if you insist.

What is... late stage capitalism? *Ding, score goes up*

I look forward to all those people who will try to pirate it.

So explain to me how people will pirate it with the one hacker who could break denuvo over the last couple years has gone away?

This is the real reason people hate on denuvo today. For the last few years it has only been one person cracking them and only when she wanted.

She have left that scene. And now we get more whiners.

If it's highly anticipated groups will do it just to get theirs out first. I remember when Skyrim was leaked and cracked BEFORE IT WAS OFFICIALLY RELEASED. If you don't believe that there's somebody around willing to crack games just cause, you're delusional.
there are a dozen "highly anticipated games" that have gone unchecked. no group will do it because no one is as insane as she.

Name them and I will find out the reasoning, or a cracked copy.

I'm not very educated on piracy since I ceased using it to get games around 2011 (got better living situation), and as much as I doubt cracks of any one particular DRM can be contingent on any single individual in the community, enough people are making this claim that I now have to read about it. So I will. Thanks.

Last big denuvo game that was cracked AFAIK was the hogwarts one. It was cracked fairly fast by an infamous cracker. Recently she announced she was going on 'vacation' which could mean anything but it could be years before anyone hears from her again if ever.

Most of the denuvo games that have been cracked without her were only done after denuvo license expired and they removed it. A lot of companies that happens at 6 months to a year. Bur not all games have their license expire.
