Live action footage instead of in-game cooking animations/rendering?

For a game that boasts not having conventional fast travel so you can fully inmerse in the world that capcom handcrafted for us, having live action footage of beef being cooked instead of in-game cooking animations sounds like immersion breaking to me.

How does it work if you are ambushed by goblins though?

I only saw a very short video of "guy interacts with food, animation plays" so i didn't know about recipes, making a camp and discovering food is gonna be sweet, i love that stuff.

Immersion isn't always realism. Botw makes you cook food in game, it might look stupid but it immerses you in that world more than cutting to footage of real food imo.

Live action -> bad choice. Its game, so render it. Its not cooking show. Of course its going to break up immersion from the game. And yeah sure, that (with game engine) was going to take so looong time to make it :DD Food has been great in MH, so they wanted to top that with the easy way.. Bad move Capcom, its a game!! Other than that looking amazing. Deluxe pre-order here.
