Goring Lunge is a must for me for trash mobs because why not.
I tried Tidal Fury as a counter, because that's what it's sopposed to be but it's complete garbage and I never get the counter lol.
1. Know to work with it. Get used to the timing.
2. Again, learn to work with it.
3. Only if you won't learn to work with it.
Think of him as a heavy tank. You're slow, can't move fast. Once you start a swing it's hard to stop cos weight and momentum. You need patience/timing (skill) for your big shot.
But once you time your attacks right and learn when to hit you'll rule your battles and save the day taking down monsters easy with that upper cut and sweeping whole creatures aside in a wide arc like Conan.
But mayhaps the warrior is not for you, make your Pawn the warrior and be a thief, they're fast.
I love being the warrior.
With small enemies it can feel bad though. Warrior's slow and clumsy, and their signature charge attacks are overkill for goblin #468. They have some of the worst finishers - they're so slow you actually risk getting stunned before you can do any real damage, the tracking is too aggressive and you often fly over the opponent's head, Warrior's normals are slow in general so getting into position is a little rough. And they've failed against zombies multiple times. They also don't have a cheat skill against harpies like Cloudward Slash and Implicate.
Still, once you get everything in range of your basic attacks Warrior does a surprisingly good job of slaughtering packs of enemies. And I did do the Knacker hellwalk to Battahl as a Warrior, so it can't be all that bad. Hammers make Rattlers easy kills.
I still don't know what to think about Warrior pawns. I often see them charging up moves despite the only enemies being across the field. And as long as you treat burns, I imagine Fighter pawns last longer in Postgame.
the fighter vocation is my number one, S tier vocation. However, I really enjoyed the warrior as well. you just need to learn how to play it. It is risk vs rewards. it is slow as F but it also hits like a truck.
I guess what Im trying to say is, yes its strong and still viable... but its NOT enjoyable for most people.
Meister skill is utter trash however.
I run Gale Slash / Savage Lash / Skyward Sunder / Rending Sweep or Inspirit
As Warfarer with True Warfarer I tend to run Heavenward Sunder, Ravening Lunge, and waffle between all the other options because they're either so bad, outclassed by Heavenward, or are just kinda forgettable and I haven't really put too much time in them.
