Interesting spoiler secret.
Ever been exploring and say a door filled in with dirt? I have and thought, well dead end, but with some camera trickery someone looked behind it and saw that it was actually a godsbane door behind the dirt.

I have always found it odd that the only thing new game + really gave was the ability to open one door early, but this makes a lot more sense.

I've noticed several of these doors, I even made my own thread about them and was disappointed to learn that they never get unblocked.

With the use of mods, a hallway leading into darkness is behind the doors, i'm hoping it is a future content thing and not a cut content thing.

Well.. but I will put my bet on cut content.

Was likely supposed to be entire underground layer of Moria where dwarves live.

The door has the same glyphs as the elevators that you use the godsbane sword on to activate. Also saw the pics that showed clipping into the dirt to see the door as a whole and the "crystals" were green.

The elevator has blue crystals prior to use, and then they turn green after use and you can't use them anymore. So something tells me they are "out of energy" or something.

That said, it is probably the planned DLC and the dirt will be uncovered eventually.

I think I saw 5 or 6 dirt doors in total. It's possible they were reusing the dirt corridor door in case they wanted to expand the areas later but never got around to it.

Dirt sure, dirt with a "lore" type graphic, no that is planned content. Will they get to the planned/cut content later in a dlc? I hope so, unless the funding is pulled because the game is seen as a failure by the company. I hope not, but this review bombing is some of the most excessive I have seen, but also first time really getting into steam forums so maybe this is normal toxicity and misinformation.

I assume they are blocked pathways into the old Dragons Dogma World, which seems sunken in the middle of the map. Who knows? :ectree2::Golden_Trove_Beetle:

Bbi style dungeons to come as dlc I hope. Ya know that would be sick af.

Cut content 100%

The game is missing some deep dungeons. I hope they come up with some dlc soon rather than later.

There is a video or two on yt that players no-clip the camera into them. Turns out they are godsway doors but with a green symbol instead of blue.

So I would hold out they are for DLC to come since even without the dirt this would be a mid/late game thing as you need the blade to open them.

as it stands now, you get to keep your godsbane on new game plus, why? to open one door early? a bit of a shortcut to the volcano camp?

more doors to use it on makes sense. BTW There are named caves blocked by those doors on the fextra interactive map, one i remember was the flame bearer palace mausoleum.

Another door of note is on the path from checkpoint rest town too the ancient battle ground,
you will find a mapped path with a rift stone and one of those blocked doors at the end. IMO that door will lead to a dlc area, if the dlc will take place in the north that is.

dlc might be related to underground dwarves area, who knows

I hope if they do use them for DLC purposes they also include the cut quests. The Expeditious Explorer and The Inveterate Explorer were datamined as being quests, but as far as I know they aren't in the game right now. Based on the description of the quest and it's relation to the "godsbeast's treasure" and the NPC that's supposed to be related to it (Vidal), it would make sense if his stuff got included for some of the doors.

Wouldn't be surprised if they even had the in-game NPC Leander involved, as he always talks about investigating these doorways. (I think there was another guard that can be seen walking along the road at some point that also has the same voice-lines as I think I remember talking to him as I was being escorted with Gregor, unless it was just Leander walking about)
