What do I need to know about unmoored world?
First off, do I need to complete the phantom oxcart quest first? I started it but then the cart wasn't anywhere to be found and I lost interest.

I have read a bunch of guides on the endgame. I know what I need to do to get to the unmoored world. Problem is I have read conflicting information on where to go first. Some say to go pick up your pawn first, some say go to the red beacons to clear the fog first. I read somewhere if you DON'T go to the seafloor sanctuary first it doesn't start the timer and you can explore at your leisure.

Also, can you hire pawns or are you only able to have your main pawn?

pick up pawn first, do red beacons to clear the fog, buy whatever WLC stuff you want, farm dragons/drakes for more wlc if you want. get some eldricite (one will suffice) finish game.

dont sleep too often and you'll be fine.

There is a soft 12 day time limit. You can rest at an inn for up to 12 days, after which you lose the primary objective (killing the purgeners); I don't know what happens if you fail this fully. After the 12 days you can still do your thing, however you cannot inn/house/camp rest and you will need to recover missing health through all heal elixirs.

You get the pawns you started with but you have to recover your main pawn. You can still hire pawns as normal.

You should pick up your main pawn after going to the purple light directly ahead of you. From there, since your pawn is in Bahk-Battahl, you can do its evacuation quest and deal with the red light. Its also the easiest to do. From there I recommend heading to the gigantus near the volcano encampment. then doing vernmouth, and finally sacred arbor. I THINK there might be something to do in harve? But I cannot say, its worth a check. You have a little under 10 irl hours, after all, so there isn't a pressing need to rush.

However, there is a smaller window of time to evacuate people so dont do your exploring until its done. If at any point you die without a wakestone to revive yourself with, you WILL have to start the entire unmoored world over. So before you progress to the end game, make sure you have enough curatives and wakestones. Saving works differently here.

WLC stuff persists into ng+. It and the end game vendor gear are the only things that really carry over in terms of world progression.

yes but you gotta do some walking to get to him which might be a pain to some. you'll be flush with wlc from beacons and dragons and the dragonforged is right by a portcrystal so no sense hoarding them too much. but having ample wlc going into ng+ is advised.

1. get your pawn back
2. have 800 crystal minimum
3. Do not sleep
4. Amount of Gigantus Node you broke determines number of bosses
5. Switch classes to get health back if you're bad at the game
6. If your pawn doesn't speak elven find one. Soon.
7. If you skip the excavation site, you're not actually the Arisen
8. endgame gear is in 12 chests before you buy
9. Dreams are indeed the stuff what makes the world go round, and you and I are the facilitators. T'is truly a worthy cause.
10. They're masterworks all, you can't go wrong.
11. Aught for sale here
12. Wolves travel in packs

You can hire other pawns, in fact it's recommended that you replace pawns rather than sleep to heal their missing health.

You won't be abe to hire other pawns when your main pawn is downed or missing, so definitely get them back before ANYTHING ELSE. After that prioritise getting the two/four initial red beams dealt with asap ideally before your third rest/sleep, if you are high level 50+ with decent weapons, you'll probably do it all in one day. Any higher than that, the difficulty is somewhat trivial with decent weapons/vocations!

Prior to entering the Unmoored world, it's recommend you heal the Eleven tree and given three Newt liqueurs to Lamond, taken Gautstafr to the hot springs; these aren't required but will make things easier/quicker.

Bonus points for devolving into pawn chatter at the end

I have done the Lamond and Gautstafr quests. I thought I finished the elf quest line. I helped the guy with the bow and got the maister teacher from his father. How do I start this tree quest?

I hope you are joking about 800 crystals. I have only collected a total of maybe 100 in my 70 hr playthrough. I thought WLC's are everywhere in the unmoored world?
I am not. 400 for you 400 for your pawn

Yes and No. 800 is about what you need for some nice upgrades and some gear. But you also get some from the world bosses. But it is a good idea to go punch all the dragons around the map before starting the end game just so you can go in with a sock of crystals.

But dont spend it right away as pointed out there is some chest around the world (mostly in the water areas) that have some of the end game gear just in them for free. And I want to say at least two mini boss types around that drop gear game gear too.

This is nuts. I have come across maybe 7 or 8 dragons in total. They drop what, 30 WLC's at the most. I have already spent all my WLC's at the dragon forged to upgrade my gear for myself and my main pawn and I bought an unmaking arrow and a port crystal. At this rate I would have to farm 24+ dragons to get close to 800 WLC's.

And I went back and killed the dragon at the excavation site area a second time and it only dropped 5 WLC's the second time.

you dont /need/ them if you have decent gear already. I did not have the WLCs when I went in and I was fine. But I had already upgraded my stuff already so i was not bad off. And you do get a bunch form the world bosses like 50~ ish each plus there is some just laying around in chests to. I So it not the end of the world.

This seems to be a common theme in games. You get the very best gear at the very end of the game when you don't need it anymore. LOL

Sounds like I am just going to run around evacuating everyone and killing some bosses. Is it even worth it? I am thinking of just going with the good ending instead of the true ending. No intentions of playing NG+.
