How big is the endgame?
Took me nearly 100 hours just to get to the unmoored world, and I was taken aback by how the game's actual title screen only appeared in that moment.

But how long is the actual endgame?

You can finish the quests in a couple of hours and then wander the world until you decide that you're done.

Isn't there a time limit, but it only counts down when you rest?

Yes, it will tell you when you hit the rest limit. Wakestones are pretty plentiful so you can restore your health with them.

If you already done all the content of the main game, it is pretty short (5-15 hours max). you have 4 (easy) bosses to kill and 9 unique (and optionnal) pieces of armor to find in the open world.

This is not comparable AT ALL with the end game of DD1 Dark arisen expension. Very disapointing from my point of view, mainly because there are no challenge at all :/ (like the main game)

You have 12 days, BUT when you have killed the 4 bosses, the time account will stop, so you can play indefinitly with nothing to do.

The end game is limited as mentioned due to rest mechanics/save/death mechanics, as mentioned. You can get around that with wakestones and such.

As far as how "long" is end game. Depends on how much you want to explore. Supposedly some really strong gear in chests that you can't buy, and upgrade mats. Also "end game" includes doing NG+ for as long as you want to keep doing that, so you can try doing quests differently and getting the other endings.

Without rushing the game you will probably get 60-150 hours of gameplay. If you explore everything, you will get maybe 200+ hours total. End game being exploring the map and upgrading all your gear/vocations/pawn badges.

Now, WHY? I duno honestly. I get all the gear and badges and never fight again and there isn't a challenge where I need stronger gear than what I already used to beat the game....like a lot of games honestly, but yeah I'm here for it atm.

You only have to kill 2 of those bosses because Talos takes care of the other two if you manage to take him down before he walks into the lava pool during The Guardian Gigantus. quest

I explored "everything" with 130H, get all the "steam achievements" too. The game have a serious lack of challenge, and the end-game content is still poor compared to the Dark arisen. Yeah, we also need "hard mode" like the first one.

There is no endgame. All you have to do is pop some bubble wrap, then its over. You can't even stay there because it is timed, and the enemies stop respawning if you stop the timer. You don't even get an end game punching bag like the UR dragon in DD1.

I think he meant Dark arisen is an expansion of DD1, like how Blood and Wine is an expansion of Witcher 3

ExpAnsion instead ExpEnsion ? that's it ?
Cause i know Arisen was an expansion, but 12 years later, that's pretty fair and understandable to hope for more end game content on dragon's dogma 2.

By everything, I mean loot every single chest in game, find all tokens past the turn in rewards, get every badge, etc. I mean you may have done everything, as I for sure get distracted and waste time testing things or trying to find the chest that is beeping near me.

Was doing minimal lookups too, so I don't know where everything is unless I get stuck, but some people are faster. But if it's just achievement hunting, yah that could be quick with some speed runs.

I too am disappointed. While it is a fun game and I still play it, I simply was expecting more.
As I read more about its development phase, I can kind of see that it is set to fail in one way or another.
I am not defending this game. Just hoping that they update it, and update it for the better.
