Daphne's Happy Ending
If you've not done the "House of the Blue Sunbright" quest line yet, this will contain spoilers for it.

So many of us know it's difficult to get a good outcome for Daphne with her questline. The closest outcome some might say would be that she takes Sebastian's place after he doesn't return home.

But Sebastian didn't do anything wrong, so why should he suffer?

So I murdered Natasha before bringing Daphne to their house and sent Sebastian off with all the items that will let him return like normal. The outcome?
The quest doesn't progress because Natasha is dead, of course...

BUT!

Sebastian does return home, Daphne remains in the house in her "slum" clothes, and the maid also keeps her job as they all stand together in the front entrance. Despite having an incomplete quest on my list, I'd like to assume that they all continue to live and eat together at the house...considering none of them can ever leave now.....

Another intuitive person I talked to let Sebastion go out alone without the items he needs, this causes the support quest to come up where he is in peril and you need to save him. If you choose to go there but don't save him (he dies) the quest can be wrapped up as Daphne taking over the spot in the family at the end of the quest. At this point you can wakestone the body of Sebastian and he will return home, seemingly both of the kids able to stay at the house with minimal issues.

I've done it so many times I've been testing how different quests will react to different flags being triggered. Sadly the majority either just break or have the same exact outcome no matter what the player chooses.

in my version. sebastian survived and returned home. daphne still clueless and returned to orphanage, maid lost her job and now standing in front of orphanage. and mother( forgot her name) alive and kickin.

i guess its a semi-good-ish ending.

The quest feels incomplete and ends on such a dark note,

like could we have adopted Daphne she deserved so much better than what she got, and the maid too the mother was a real piece of work.

How can you just kick your own kid out over inheritance couldn't you have just made her know she would not receive any of it?

no you put your kid out on the street that's super messed up, but they did say that the motehr was kinda off not unlike how people actually are irl. J:

Oh I like this outcome. I think once I get to my final world where I'm focused on collecting/leveling it'll be the way I leave them

I don't even remotely understand any of this.
I mean... I did Daphne's quests, then I did that quest where she acts as a stand-in for Sebastian so he can get a flower for his mother... and he got back, presumably with the flower, and the mother found out about the ruse. Well okay. And then we left.

But when I left, the pawns all started making comments about it ending on a dark note and that we shouldn't have got involved...
What dark note? Everyone is still alive. Sebastian got his flower, presumably, Daphne is presumably okay, though I don't really care if she isn't because she is a shameless mooch. I guess the maid probably got scolded or something. But so what? What is such a bad end about that?

It isn't like the "Beggar" who got murder-suicided by his wife for being a secret toff...

I'm assuming you haven't went back to the slums and talked with the maid. She explains why it's scuffed that Daphne's in the situation she's in to begin with, and worst off the priest scolds you for getting involved which made me look at him in a worse light too.

I've just been assuming I've missed some flags and was supposed to do something else. Maybe it was considered inconsequential and didn't get completed. Maybe doing this quest-line is a flag for continuing it in the post-game where everyone gets evacuated and such.

Nah. I already get my ear talked off by NPCs enough as it is without voluntarily engaging in conversation with them.
Judging by the other comments, is Daphne actually Sebastian's blood twin or something? Is she another secret toff? There seems to be a lot of that going around.

So i have a issue. I found sebastian but he died. I saw no option to use any item on him so i planned to revive him in the chappel. But there is no coffin in the place where NPC body appears.. and the body is no longer retrievable... since it was flung in an ocean...

There's a mod that finds NPCs and teleports them. That's likely your only option here.

off topic but since we're talking about Daphne and the slum area with bad ending for quests, saving Lubomir from dying in the quest Saint of the Slums is so obscure it's not even funny.

Saving lubomir was an extra obscure option after the quest successfully completes and you get xp, but no clue on that there some extra stuff you can do. /end rant.
