But when ordering a pawn they may rarely say like: "You don't have to tell me what to do, I know what I'm doing"
During a battle they might say: "I'm feel myself surging with power"
There's a few other one's, some really obvious and other's kind of not, but I can't remember them well enough to call out. My guy is straightforward so I know how often people hear his voicelines and go "oH tHrOw hIm iN tHe BriNe! PlAgUe!". But I've been with him so long I know all of his voicelines by heart, so when a new one pops up it's really really obvious
I dont remember the words though.
A bit earlier I had my pawn do the "I'm alright, everything is fine" quote outside of being infected because she was chiding a Chiurgeon mage for constantly healing her
At the highest stage they don't talk like pawns at all anymore. They insult you for getting hit, when you order them with "go!", you collect items like materials and probably anything that isn't random conversation between pawns while exploring, which are still the same iirc. Can't quote any of them from memory though, but that's what you can do to try to provoke the dialogue
I actually like my straightforward pawns character with maximum dragon plague more than how they're as default lol, too bad that if you forget about it they'll nuke a city.
I've just made a habit of never recruiting pawns with concealed faces or base red eyes, then check every pawns eyes before resting at inns/homes for their pulsating orange/red eyes.
I suspect it's either the roar or no specific attack at all and it's a random chance during the fight
Nah. It's just standard grab attack (he uses his left hand) that has 100% chance of possession (assuming uninterrupted). The roar actually has nothing to do with it. It can grab you too, but then he will just slam you into the ground.
Problem is that the range for the standard grab attack is really really terrible (Not under him or too far. Literal grabbing distance). Chances of him actually being in the right range to use it is almost never. (only melee classes would get that near to begin with and they usually end up under him anyway to hit the heart. Also thieves can dodge). As a result, if he ever wants to grab anything, he roars first to drop your stamina to 0.
All is well, I feel as fit as ever.
Power surges within me!
My mind feels clearer than ever this day.
'Tis difficult to explain, but I feel as if I'm possessed by a greater power.
I've a wellspring of strength that shall never run dry!
You need not rest on my account, Master. I've never felt more alive!
I shall act on my own accord!
You needn't command me at every turn. I know what to do!
Is that order absolute? I struggle to see the sense in it.

"You've been serving the Arisen in the same vocation for quite some time haven't you"
"Materials can be combined into many different things"

Dragonsplague sometimes sounds like straightforward pawns
"You needn't command me at every turn. I know what to do!"
as opposed to
"Just because I can heal you doesn’t mean you can be careless"
Very similar vibes.
