all items lost after talking to magistrate in jail

I can't seem to find the topic so making a new one.
I lost all my items when I went to jail (I didn't even get to try to open the chest when they started attacking me but figured it might be part of story) and didn't get them back.
And because of the very stupid autosave without the option to actually choose which save to start again, my stuff is gone. Several tries and none has given me my stuff back.
Is there a way to retrieve it still?

you get your items back when you leave the jail

usually when you go to jail you lose everything, the moment you walk out the back or reach the exit in the front you'll get all your stuff back. if you're not getting it back.
you can choose inn save but you will lose some hours- unless you slept at an in without it triggering your items then you're stuck. file a bug report with capcom.

in the original game you got to keep any skeleton keys you had on your person so i created a habit to always carry one for emergencies. In this game it's a gaol key or a one time use key.

I slept in an inn only once. Right at the beginning :D so this is really not an option tbh ;_; would take me from level 19 to level...?
I didn't see a bug report option in game, you mind telling me where I would do that?
