base stats combine leg and body, i tried the corset you can't equip leg armor and there are no debilitation or even the best knockdown.
the best armor for warfarer is probably Vanguarder's Greaves + Dominator's Armor. it has the most knockdown res, most debilitaitons, most everything but magic. for warfarer if you wanna defend against magic i suggest magik bubble as a skill.
for mage/sorc/trickster you want pure magic defence + decent debilitation defense you should have the aug that mitigates agro but you can still take shot by aoes/debils.
and for the other vocations (which almost shouldn't exist due to warfarer) there are better minmaxing "best" armors.
Yes but it takes both the torso AND the leg slot. So it's essentially half the value.
The best is Ares Morpho Robe and Runic Gaiters.
Total stats for those two is:
205 P-Def | 2 Slash-Def | 2 Strike-Def | 272 M-Def | 28 KD-Resist | 25% points of total Debilitation Resist
300 P-Def | 5 Slash-Def | 0 Strike-Def | 280 M-Def | 60 KD-Resist | 15% points of total Debilitation Resist
Charming Corset has the stats above.
For mage only, its Sacral Robe with Scholar's Breeches.
242 P-Def | 0 Slash-Def | 0 Strike-Def | 291 M-Def | 50 KD-Resist | 49% points of total Debilitation Resist
There is one for sorc and trickster too. but for the best 'balanced' build, this is the best.
As ID has said, max the phy def and just use a skill. or you can build a debilitation build.
Of course, with warfarer, you can build better balanced build but with pawns, that option is taken away, and if you're not using warfarer for them maister skill.
There's also the fact that it's a set, so its nice to look at, there's coordination. tried building the best armor for me and quite frankly, it looks hideous, and I can't really use the corset as my arisen is a male (might as well use the hideous looking set). Here's hoping to transmog + dye system for armors. Also better plate armors.
tbh given up on having the best armor for my arisen, as it can be compensated by git gud.
now read the wall of text
edit: added " x% 'points' of to...."
When you compare it to an end game full set, its actually not better.
Otherwise, the fact is, "male" clothing is pretty gender neutral, most of the time. A woman in a fancy suit, or full plate armor, is just as acceptable as a man. A man in a dress is fine if you're into that, but obviously seen as kind of weird. Just pick a different set of endgame gear and there's your answer, even if they don't have exactly equal stats, they're similar enough.
There was actually a couple dresses and some boob plate in the original Dragon's Dogma/Dark Arisen, and there was a misandrist group of female bandits that wouldn't attack you if your party was all female or all of the men in your party were wearing feminine clothes/armor of some kind. Would be funny to bring that back and make the Charming Corset acceptable attire.
Besides, the mesh mod is already there so mesh models are already popping up
