I'm guessing the average will probably approach around 3k within a year, dipping to 1k periodically.
I know I'll probably be playing DD1 more than DD2 in terms of replays though. I'm kind of having a hard time even wanting to finish it the first time around.
No big surprise, people moving on to the new toys.
this game sold 2.5m in two weeks which is the sales window for early buyers. not even comparable.
There's also clearly an enemy variety problem and also one with variety in the composition of enemy groups.
But I don't pay that much attention to player count tbh. Not in a singleplayer game where it doesn't affect me.
