How to enter Battahl ?

OK i got a beastrean in my party and i got the permit from Brant.

But the dumbass guard still won't let me enter Battahl.

Anyone know how can i enter ?

oor just enter the noble oxcart that randomly goes to batahl during the morning, dont get out till after the oxcart goes down the road a bit for the chivo

it is in checkpoint rest town yes

You need to be a beast or wear a beast mask, or sneak in. Once you are in, you can buy a house and use the home owner pass instead.

You can also fly there on the back of a mythical creature.

You don't even need to go as far as the Rest Town.
Just over the river west of Herve Village (where the bridge appears after getting Brant's permit), there is a Drake spawn point in a forested area just to the south of the path. If you go through that to the back, there is a cave system that leads out onto a cliffside path above the ocean (and has a Golem). If you can get past all that, it leads to a back entrance to Bakbattahl.

I've got a screenshot of the route here.... well... the start of it is the route I'm talking about. I got on the back of a Griffin and it took me on a tour of the desert:

I should probably also note that said Griffin is an alternative super early shortcut to the Volcanic Isle if you jump off it at the bridge.

dont bother with the cave, its just faster to use a mask and the permit, or even without permit just ride the oxcart to get inside

You can just go into the water area beneath Checkpoint Rest Town and go to the Battahl cliffs and jump down with a wakestone revive to skip the actual skip

Don't bother with the mask and permit nor oxcart. It is just faster to use the cave. There is less to fight in the cave than going through the entirety of Western Vermund AND Battahl.

There are 2 alternative paths.
1. through the Guerco-cavern southeast of the destroyed bridge of Theodractus the second.
Might have to fight a half-dragon to get access though.
2. follow the river-canyon ouside of rest town to the east. That path also leads to the frontier-shrine where the 2nd half of the sphinx-quests are to find.
