You are not the target audience for Dragon's Dogma, Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen and Dragon's Dogma 2, these games are not made for you and you will never ever truly enjoy them to their fullest potential. Go play a dedicated co-op game.
To me, the pawn mechanic is part of what makes the game special/unique. I am very happy they stayed true to it.
They could have went with co-op options, but that would conflict with the Pawn system, and to be fair, there is already plenty of co op style games, If DD2 went that way, it would be losing something that made it unique to be more like other games.
This isn't gate keeping, it's simply understanding what makes Dragon's Dogma unique, and embracing it's core features.
Either way, I'll enjoy this game with or without coop, one can always hope for a "seamless" mod in the future, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
You play solo? You, your main pawn and 2 "rando" pawns.
You play coop? You, your main pawn, 1 friend and their main pawn.
That's how I'd have done it, not as a MMO, but as a game to play with a friend, explore and do a dungeon or two together. But hey, I guess I'm not a "true fan" after 600+ hours, owning the game on 2 systems and bought it for myself 3 times and for friends another 4 times.
At least according to some people.
If you like solo adventuring, why are you crying for co-op? LOL. The mind of a liar is so weak, you can barely keep track of your lies and narratives.
You are not the target audience for Dragon's Dogma and you do not enjoy the IP, get over it.
I can tell, because you said so yourself. You might enjoy certain elements of Dragon's Dogma, but you do not enjoy Dragon's Dogma, the game is not made for you, you dislike one of its two fundamental core elements and its only unique element that sets it apart from other games.
