be funny if it was crossplay so it had the crossplay logo alongside "1 online player" logo. People who don't know how it works would be confused af.
"
You can crossplay with others but it's just yourself crossplaying. wut.
"
Crossplay is another covert anti-consumer push from the toxic accessibility and cult of inclusion losers, they want to reduce the financial damage that garbage stores and platforms suffer from being incompetent and having a smaller consumer base (caused by their platform or store being inferior to others), which in turn reduces market competitiveness which in turn reduces the overal quality of the gaming industry. Garbage stores, platforms and developers deserve to suffer financially and go out of business.
It could mean being able to access console-born Pawns through the riftstones, and vice versa, which would also help everyone's Pawns gain more knowledge and gifts from their travels with other Arisens.
EDIT: Seems like crossplay for Pawns had already been implemented: https://www.reddit.com/r/DragonsDogma/comments/1b90ib0/cross_platform_pawns_confirmed/
Some just want to play with their friends who play on other platforms, whats the problem. No one is forcing you to use it and in most cases you can simply change it in the settings. Maybe you should just stop thinking only about yourself.
I wouldn't mind being able to hire pawns made non-Steam gamers, given it doesn't affect server traffic and development time too much.
However: pawns are shared online. And I definitly read somewhere, that this is cross-platform. If there is a cross-platform Friend-System, I don't know, however. (Maybe a spcial ingame-system instead of Steam-friend. Or it might even be both.)
That is one of the biggest nonense, I've ever read.
i have friends who are exclusively on ps5. i own a ps5 myself, purely for gran turismo 7, but i play most of my games on PC. it's always nice to be able to play with my ps5-exclusive friends, so i am happy about every crossplay game there is - if they do it better than "chivalry 2" for example, which had crossplay, but not cross-party, which majorly sucked.
but again, lot at your brainfart. blocked solely to make sure i won't be matched in a steam coop game with you. <3
