Also MH is getting its first crossover soon, imagine if it was DD2, to perhaps get more people interested in this game.
It’s truly amazing how people repeat always the same lie about him. He already planned to leave Capcom. DD2 was only the last product beside DMC5 which he wanted to finish. Kento Kinoshita which worked on Dragons Dogma Dark Arisen AND Dragons Dogma 2 is still there.
Honestly, I don’t care if they release a special edition. I would probably purchase it or get it as gift because I had/have a lot of fun with Dragons Dogma 2.
"i want to leave the company" translate to "the company is pressuring me to leave. "
The big difference is that he already wanted to leave and only stayed because Capcom gave him the option to create a game which he wanted.
https://www.eventhubs.com/news/2019/mar/19/hideaki-itsuno-almost-left-capcom-after-dmc-devil-may-cry-wish-list-dmc5-and-potential-fighting-games-got-him-stay/
The good news is also that he already fand another place and works on a new project. I hope he and his new team get treated better than Capcom treated him.
The bad news about that is rather I don’t know which people will still fight for DD now that Itsuno left. He was the force behind. In time we will see how Capcom treats DD and if it get additional content or not. I guess many would rather get a remaster of DDDA than additional content for DD2, at least you get this feeling if you look in different communities.
i hope he makes a spiritual successor to Dragon Dogma IP atleast.
Given the games success it would make a sense to follow up with a DLC at least within a year but it wasn't even announced so i doubt it's even planned anymore.
You know this *leak* was always false? It’s the same as the World of Warcraft DLC leaks which was a long time on the internet. If somebody truly believe they only need 8 months to create a new DLC then… yeah, sorry but no. Not in this time and I doubt they already created a DLC when they still worked on the base game, not if you look how much rushed the Batthal part is.
I rather guess that they needed to release the game earlier as planned AGAIN. (I read this was also the case with the first game)
