I'm thinking about buying it but if they have abandoned it and don't fix the performance I won't buy it

It's a single player game. And there have already been performance patches. It runs perfectly fine.

no it doesnt. not everyone owns a 4090 or 4080, but even on my 4070 on default graphics it has issues in towns, and my cpu isnt bad either.
so either you're coping, dont realize you have bad fps, or have a too expensive cpu/gpu.

Yeah, I have a 4090. But I can only speak to my own experience.

And coping with...what? Even if I had a 4070, what exactly am I "coping" with? What does that even mean?

Capcom is too busy redirecting all their money into fixing MH:Wilds before it releases as another disaster.

The updates have been small and lacklustre... There's been no real push to make it Great. It is disappointing cos this game could be SO much better. More quests, more creature variety and add more Pawn options, interactions and voice choices.

Seriously if they made a proper effort this could be a classic.

I guess it was just a money spinner at capcom, no real love for the world.

at least the Character Creator is good, glad they at least got that done, but they probably got that good cos it would be one of the 1st things seen on release. It had to be good. The rest of the game, not so much.

pipe dream but I am hoping for a Dragons Dogma 1.5 where it adds stuff and more enemies to the game (second half feels rushed and empty-ish) + a Bitterblack 2.0 end-game loop.

Wont happen of course as people will just complain that 2 was the crunch-timed beta they said all-along hhh. Personally I'm not even mad if they did that, better than nothing plus all your pawn data transfers over like Dark Arisen so you don't have to start over.

Runs fine for me too, I have a 4080. I cap it on 60 fps, max graphic, no DLSS, resolution 2560x1440. Don't have any fps drops. I would never play this game for so long if I had the same problem as some other people. Of course I still hope that they fix it more, if they can. I want that other people have too a good experience with it.

yep runs great for me these whiner threads about a single player game being abandoned don't make sense. If it runs bad maybe don't play on a potato

Id expect an expansion next year, the game made money but its just not active enough to warrant putting piece-meal content into when its not popular, I imagine theyll make it a selling point of an expansion pack to sell something big. *huffs copium*

Capcom made it clear they did not expect the sale volume they had with this game, and they also have a busy marketing and release schedule in the near future. And they had to go "what kind of DLC do you want" in one of the feedback surveys. Odds are Capcom did not have tangible short and mid term plans for DD2.

The time frame that is equivalent to the launch of DD1 and announcement of DDA has passed. But any expansion with meaningful content, and with changes that could positively salvage some of the issues the vanilla game has, would take longer than that time frame.

I'm hopeful in the long term. Capcom needs to meet stockholder expectations and DD2 put the IP on the radar of a wider audience. As a bare minimum I expect an expansion to test the waters for any future DD related project.

They are totally not giving a flying f about gamers. Until this momment since release, a bug that happens for thousends of players is still not fixed. And of course i am talking about game crashing everytime u try to buy/manage skills for vocation. Either u go into this menu for 2 seconds, selecting one skill quickly, then changing to another menu, or u try to spend some time in there, for example i love browsing new skills, and this ♥♥♥♥ not fixed till now. I spend 80 houres in this game, and i will prolly never touch it again.

Maybe since they gave up on this game we can get a DDDA remaster! I would but that in a heartbeat!
