edit - Ive sent you some boltscale and wailing crystal too. You can get more boltscale out of a cave up near the elven area before end game as well, and I think one of the roaming vendors sells wc if you can't find a lich. [/quote]
You are the best! Thank you so mucg
So much!
Hi, is there a chance we could chat about doing the true ending....I'm afraid, you see. It says it changes your pawn to your likeness but I don't want that, does she reappear as herself later and how? Can you chat me on messenger, look me up on fb I'm Teryl Mabee. Hope you can coach me a bit on this. I want the 3 extra permanent portcrystals it offers, you see, from doing the true ending. I'm in ng+ but not with inmoored world. Thanks!
The main thing to be aware of in the unmoored is that if you die you go back to your last inn save; that there is a limit on inn saves/rests (12); and that, until you defeat the big bosses (red beams), the red fog (brine) will slowly encroach the land swallowing it up. That said, what people do is simply go round clearing all the red beam enemies to start with so they can "fix" the world, using allheal elixirs to heal any grey damage and (in the unlikely event they die) using wakestones to rezz themselves.
Once you've cleared the big bosses /red beams you can stay as long as you want, just make sure you always have wakestones and inn rest every now and again just "in case", and don't activate the final red beam at the shrine because that's the end of the game. Most people stay a while to explore, farm, and do the (small number) of quests. The only real constraint you face is forging - as you can't rest at will, you can't progress days at will, so your ability to forge multiple items is gone.
Anyway - it's nothing to worry about and there's load of guides on line if you want more detail. The only thing Id say is that there arn't new portcrystals (other than the one the dragonforged sells); there's some permanent ones as you say but they disappear in NG+ anyway.
Edit - there's also a few unique items you might want to pick up there. There's lists on line, but if you explore the exposed river beds you should find them easily enough.
- take the first right out of checkpoint and go down to the river
- follow the river west into the cave
- towards the end of the cave jump up on the rocks to the right and work your way up
- follow the path up the hill, over the log bridge and through a second cave
You can also access it from the far west of Battahl, working your way up a giant cliff face, through a river/cave system and then up a (very) long gully. Easier from chkpt tho.
Remember the "rainy area' will be dry in the Unmoored World, making it unrecognizable as the "rainy area". Similarly, the Misty Marshes are no longer misty. The most standing water you'll find in the UW is at the Volcanic Isle hot springs.
