I don't think there will be DLC mr Frodo.

Let's review the facts:

1. The guy who directed DD2 left Capcom
2. There's been an absolute radio silence from Capcom about even a possibility of a DLC
3. The game averages only couple of thousands players on steam
4. Monster Hunter Wilds is very close to release and there's no reason for Capcom not to repurpose all their resources to that game as it will be their new cash cow

pretty much

the chances of this game getting a DLC are pretty low, and even lower of getting one that's at least as good as dark arisen

At least with this statement you don’t get disappointed if a DLC get announcement (or not) because you guys/girls don’t have any expectations. This is not a bad thing if you ask me.

I don’t care if we get a DLC. I have fun with the base game. I can’t say if I will have fun with a DLC. For me it depends on which kind of DLC we get. If this a DLC which focuses on multiplayer/co-op mode I would not play it and not purchase it. If it is a DLC which offers more landscape to explore I would play and purchase it.

Let's review even more facts:
1. Kento Kinoshita, the director of the Dark Arisem version of the game is still at Capcom

2. Steam DB has tracked numerous updates to an experimental version of the game

3. TGS is soon, and if anything DD2 is gonna be announced its gonna be there

This is what, the third time people have picked an event where the dlc will ne announced?

If the reviews keep positive you will probably see a small dlc next year. DA is probably out of the question now.

I should have specified if anything was gonna be announced this time of year. I personally don't think we'd hear anything until after Wilds because that's gonna massively overshadow it. They'll probably sneak it in after the title updates stop while waiting for the Master Rank DLC.

Soon, Anyone saying otherwise is as drunk as the same people saying we would never get Dragon's Dogma 2.

Also, Capcom has stated this game sold well, and met sales expectations. This bodes well for a DLC, down the road. I am speculating we might get some news next year after monster hunter wilds has its time to shine. I'm optimistic at this point anyways, but who knows what will actually happen. Good sales though is a great indicator and a reason to be optimistic, IMHO.

a sequel can happen at any time even after 10 years, a dlc will be extremely unlikely if there's too much silence and too much time passes

even elden ring's dlc which took 2 years to make was still announced that it's in production way earlier

Elden ring also waited so long because the scale and scope of the dlc changed internally. If they had gone with their original plan it's likely a dlc would have released much sooner.

That would be too much to name, But you can find a lot of it in the game.
Hopefull maybe.. who can say, But at least I know where to look and in what way.

Other then being coy I don't have any confirmation, Yet joy can be found in it's blasphemation.
Why would that be? It is simple really.
The surprise will be all the greater, The sweeter then to find the actuation.
Cogs in the wheel if you will, For that is the power of the Arisen.

Till the 12th let's chill, For in the end all we want is it's revi... eall.

Have I tried too hard or did I not? In the end it is all food for thought.
