Final Scenes after unmoored world and related quests
Ola, I always try to have all quests done before entering unmoored. Yet still, the endscene after unmoored shows parts, which lead to the conclusion, that I still missed something. E.g. there is a broken down cottage close to a waterfall, which is always abandoned. Other parts differ, based on which quests were successful or not etc.

Does anyone have a complete overview for this?

Final thoughts flash into your mind before you die, you think of peaceful serene places. For everyone else, life goes on. The end.
I don't know of a complete overview of the end-scene if that is what you are after. The thing is that the end-scene and credits change based on quests - like you said - and on the affinity of the main NPCs (Hugo, Nadinia, Berhan, etc.) as a result of those quests. It seems like you’d have to know quite a bit about the design of the end scenes to cross check everything.

If you’re interested in being sure you didn’t miss anything in the game, this is what I did. My first run-through was to just experience the game with no “help”. On my second run, I used some complete listings of quests to be sure I got all of them and I used a very comprehensive interactive map from the IGN website as a check to be sure I covered all of the locations. https://www.ign.com/maps/dragons-dogma-2/world if this slides by filters. I tried to stay away from specific quest walk-throughs, but that might help too.

You have me curious about the location you mentioned. I’m grinding levels right now, but when I complete this run, I’ll have to pay attention for that cabin. I’m on my twelfth run now and I’m still finding little things that I didn’t notice before (new lines of pawn dialog as an example).

The end scene and credits generated a lot of interesting discussion a while back. One example: Wonder what really became of your main pawn? If it has dragonsplague when the true game ends, look for your most beloved and at their eyes as they gaze over the sea. The conjecture about the old man at the very end was pretty interesting too.

I believe the Cabin is the one on Mount Alles near the Waterfalls and the bridge.
It is the road loading from the Encampment to Vermund.

Isn't it also the Cabin for Wilhelmina?
I never cared to save everyone, I have done a hundred things at this point 'But no amount of effort on your part will change the inevitable outcome'
Feel free to try and see if it does change anything, Just don't get your hopes up.

Not even kind of. The japanese text has a completely different context.

Final thoughts flash into your mind before you die, you think of peaceful serene places. Delete your save/Start New Game. Life goes on. The end.

Fixed. :feste:

Zappieroth got it right.

It's the cabin where Wilhelmina goes off to after leaving the Rose Chateau in Vermworth if you help her with her "Allard problem". The mission is called 'Every Rose Has It's Thorn'. If you successfully help her, in the endgame credits you'll see her sitting outside the cabin at night burning some old papers from her past. If you don't help her, you'll see what you describe in your game - the cabin in the morning sun with the waterfalls devoid of anyone.

Ah, yes, Wilhelmina does make sense. I did her quest a few times but not every time, I saw her cutscene too, but did not make the connection to the cabin, scenes differed too much.

Btw, does any other game have such an endscene, where the 'accomplishments' and their outcome are shown like this? I really liked the idea.

On the other hand it seems, that the Arisen, the Dragon/Pathfinder/Watcher/Brine are all dead and the world is finally free, so this Arisen finally made it at the cost of his own life.... as maybe it was intended from the start of the cycle.

Looks to me that this game is somewhat 'complete' in regards to storytelling...

Can't see, where a DLC could interconnect... ah, well...

Yeah, I didn't delve into all the various theories but the arisen's dead but the world's free was what it said to me. Personally I thought it was a missed opportunity. I'd have preferred the Pathfinder to pop up with a "nice try sucker," boot you straight back to the start of the cycle, just this time to rub it in he's going to make it harder on you. Indeed, he's going to keep making it harder each time you restart the cycle until you give up trying to break it. Might set up a nice NG+ loop. Though it might be a bit depressing for.... modern gamers. Good life lesson though. If they had to have a sunshine and rainbows ending though, they could have at least thrown in a bit of a multiple universe angle and had you go off to break the cycle in another. And another...

This is the place. It's just NE of Mount Alles Tunnel adjacent to the Rift of Remembrance. If you visit this site after helping Wilhelmina, unfortunately she's not there. Only a bandit and a chest are in the cabin.
