downloading the free trial on Steam Deck right now. Already have 100% on console, so I can bum rush to more hardware intense sections for testing. Haven't found anything online about the current state on Steam Deck either, so I'm curious
It works, i checked. Breaks down once an hour.

I personally don't recommend it. Temps went super high, and the framerate is at best 20 when there are just a few NPCs around. When there are more NPCs it goes down to 15 and when it gets really intense the Steam Deck gets extremely hot and straight up shuts down. Running around in the open world gives you about 25FPS

It already runs like trash on desktops because it kills the CPU due to bad coding. Trying to play this on deck sounds like torture.

I’ve been playing the free trial a bit on my Steam Deck OLED handheld and so far it’s ok. It’s playing. The grass looks a bit too sharp but so far I’ve not seen any issues. I’m getting 20ish FPS most of the time but even with dips to 17, it seems ok. I’m a bit worried about other comments above about SD heating up.
I definitely would not recommend playing this on a steam deck yet.

Thanks for trying this and reporting it to the rest of us.
Been wondering if this was worth the hassle on steam deck but 20fps doesn't sound very fun to me.

Such a shame. Devs are missing a real trick (and £) but ‘ignoring’ the handheld/Steam Deck market. It is very possible to make awesome AAA games that run on such devices.

I can recommend play it on the Steam Deck via GeforceNow. It is really so satisfactory ;-)
