exactly this, only solution I found for this is restarting the game after each visit to the rift. Sometimes talking to random pawns in the open world (not the pawns that you have already hired) causes that as well.
It's pain and we can only hope for a quick fix.

Enter the Rift again if the image quality bugs out and it is usually fixed.
