When do Dragon's respawn?
In a guide, it says there are 9 locations where dragons do respawn.
But after 30 ingame days there only showed up 2.
Are they just randomly show up at the specific spots, because 30 ingame days seems to be a lot to me and they dont appear.

I usually sleep at least 7 times, but they have some randomness to the spawns too.
I check the Vernworth spots using the elf city as a teleport spot. Usually find at least 2 out of the 4 spots, then teleport to the south and check the drake spots near rivers.

I’m not sure where your at in the story but I think some of them are tied to quest progression.
Some games do it like that, you need to complete a quest then rest, you get that fade out after escort quests, I’m wondering if a hidden benefit to them are large enemy respawns.

Which guide that you follow, if you don't mind I'm asking. Cause, one spot is enough for farming, which me and some other youtuber found it to be reliable when farming WLC.

based on what i know from the development of the first game DD2 likely uses a spawn generation that determines a "set" of enemies for each big area. if one set is in place it would affect spawns in your world and not allow what we can call rare spawns to show up at that location.
As an example if a drake is in the river spot closer to the elf forest he usually wasn't in the mountain circle near the cave leading to the Dragonforged. But the drake near the river has a 50/50 chance of wandering into the water and brine himself, so he wasn't always up either.

I haven't studied in detail yet but I noticed there are 3 or 4 different sets of enemies that can spawn by the big rock near the grand broken bridge that sometimes has a cyclops sleeping by it. Sometimes its a few harpies and some goblins, sometimes its just goblins and one hobgoblin and so on. These would be the different world sets I would be speaking of that can help identify what spawn is up, and was a fun little aspect of BBI, determining if Death was available or where he was. It is a huge undertaking with a lot of teleporting to record these sets so I am not surprised it isn't solved yet.

Drakes take 5, LD take seven.

Drakes take 4 days to re-spawn, and Lesser Dragon will not re-spawn.

The >tower< dragon does not respawn.

Correct, as well as in Unmoored World. So there's only 5 Lesser Dragon to kill in one play through.

for me the most consistent spawning of dragons I get is in volcano area....

I tend to start from volcano base and go towards magic archer woman path to fight golem for magic medals to sell.... then go back to base and down the long canyon to the beach where a dragon usually spawns.... then go back to volcano camp and go towards the excavation site and go down the bottom path to the lava pool where a dragon or a golem will spawn....

go back to volcano camp and rest for 7 days.... once at an inn and rest on a bench to pass time.... then repeat and they should respawn...
