No Pawn Run - Can Fighter outperform Warrior?
Has anyone attempted a solo Fighter playthrough? I don't see any videos or guides yet. I see "solo Fighter" videos but they are either with a Pawn that is buffing them or Post Game fighting regular enemies with endgame weapons.

Most scenarios: Big Monsters, packs of land enemies, flying enemies, mixed enemy packs, and physical immune enemies (ghosts).

- Fighter doesn't seem to have the KIT to deal with all battle scenarios as it has basically "0" iFrames. So while focusing on any enemy, you are vulnerable to stagger/damage from any enemy either attacking from a distance or behind you. You can be a perfect block God and get struck by another enemy mid animation: degrading the shield's utility. Kiting enemies into 1v1 is slow and boring. Is there a better way? Or do i have to struggle/cheese until i kill mods in 1 or 2 hits?

- I watched a YT video on solo Warrior (Click4Gamplay) which showed how powerful the Barge skill is for interrupting monsters (Drake and Minotaur) and Gale Lash is for defense against crowds. Given Warrior's innate stagger resist, and defense boost while charging an attack + ability to charge all basic attacks that use no stamina, this seems a more viable option (not to mention additional weapon reach). Warrior struggles hitting fast flying enemies but so does Fighter. Warrior can also self-heal status effects that Fighter cannot.

In a world where stagger and stamina are King, where does the solo Fighter shine over Warrior?

The main strength Fighter has is its constant ability to stagger enemies over Warrior

Yeah doesnt make sense does it? what i mean is while Warrior deals a single hit that easily staggers does around it, Fighter can do multiple of them with its skills without losing mobility or speed, Shield Bash being the prime example, easily one of the best skills in the vocation.

Fighter even has a skill made to recover from getting staggered, something not even Warrior has.

Fighter can actually deal with flying enemies fairly easily, (not counting bosses cause duh) you basically just gotta wait for them to attack you, i mainly use Tusk Toss for this, which pretty much always brings down the Harpy to the ground and easy to finish them off.

Another pro i would give to Fighter is that they're way better at clinging to bosses, Warrior really falls behind with clinging attacks, since its a mere slow pummel tap, while Fighter can attack way faster.

Tbh I'd imagine it being way easier for a fighter, that dopamine rush from a perfect block... Also, its even better as solo, since to pull off those fancy deflects you want to draw aggro and in a party its problematic unless you waste an augment slot for provocation or a ring slot for a ring of disfavor or a skill slot for shield drum, but solo - no need for any of that.
I think I'm slowly becoming fighter main... (never expected)

Keep in mind that in vanilla warrior gets ~300 knockdown/stagger resistance out of thin air, fighter has 0.

Yeah but even Warrior has a limit, specially against groups of enemies

I don't usually like shield classes in most games but for whatever reason, fighter was my favorite character in the first game and is a close tie with archer in this game for me. It just feels right.

it took me several hundred hours before I fully embraced perfect blocking and crazy shenanigans of mystic knight in DDDA, but now he got replaced by a jedi (or more like a sith?) and to fill the void I had to get back to ol' good fighter, abusing vengeful slash :D

Spearhand is flashy but so boring to play. There are a few useless and really cool looking combos you can do but they're so useless that you won't even do them most of the time. That class is what made me realize I liked fighter and archer so much in this game.
