dont use AOE.... your picking a side so you need to target specific people....
like they said you can use physical force to grab and throw an enemy into another.... or even walk up to an enemy and use a basic attack...
for me I play a magic archer so I have no target lock either.... I just walked up to one of the soldiers and shot blindly at point blank at them.... THEN they all declared me the enemy for choosing the other side and was able to target them like normal enemies....
