Bolide on oggre nulified pawn quests?

I killed an oggre last hitting it with a stong dagger Y in the head while laying down, 100% sure. But my sorcerer pawn casted Bolide and deleted the corpse, so the other 2 pawn with 10k quest didnt get the pawn quest.

Is this a known thing? Im going to unequip the skill now to prevent it from ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up quests I guess.

Did you happen to get EXP for the mob upon it's death? If so that should still count for their quests of killing an ogre, regardless if it has a body or not (I've had bodies burnt up a lot and it still works).
Also if there is ANY other mob still triggering the same string of combat you'll need to take them out before it'll update that the quest completed. So if the battle music is still playing it means something else has aggro on you (the quest won't complete until "combat is resolved" even if the target itself has been defeated.)
Also just to verify was the quest for "Defeat Ogre" or "Defeat Grim Ogre" as these are two different enemy types and the correct one needs to be killed for it to complete.

could also be you killed the wrong ogre.... pawn quests have different versions of enemies.... like killing an ogre.... killing a grim ogre....

also not just meteoron that does that.... pretty much any fire or explosive type ability can do it.... I sometimes do it on purpose to clear the path with my magic archer using blazefang arrow... but it doesnt affect respawn times when you do it... still respawn in the normal rate...

If you wonder, the Grim Ogre looks hairier and has more “spikes” around its body compared to the normal Ogre.

Pretty sure that only spawn on as well (pre-postgame)

Might be wrong on this, but the stronger variant of the bosses appear to have glowing red eyes as well.

Im sure it was Ogre, both pawns had that quest because that's what I usually do for gold, only Cyclops, Ogres and Minos. And that's the issue, I didnt get the xp.
The body just dissappeared.

Im blaming it on bolide, but is actually the second time an Ogre disappears on me haha The first one drowned in a puddle that barely went up my pawns heels.

Weird, not sure what's happening on your end then. Even when they drown to the brine while fighting you they should still give you EXP, you just lose out on their items (most of the time)

Weird, not sure what's happening on your end then. Even when they drown to the brine while fighting you they should still give you EXP, you just lose out on their items (most of the time)

No no, it didnt drown in the brine because there was no brine because it was a puddle with no depth. 200% sure that was a bug.

Fire burns corpses. You do enough fire damage to a corpse and it just burns away. Any fire attack can do it. And be VERY careful about effects that do persistent fire damage like High Salamander, as they won't even give you the chance to loot the corpse before it is gone.

Update: I've killed 5 ogres now, with different pawns having the quest. But the quest doesnt trigger. And I did get the XP for sure. Maybe I missed it with the first one that disappeared with the meteors.

I took screenshots but I dont even know how to put them here.

Go to your profile > Screenshots > Click the screenshot you want to share > The little Cog wheel above the comment section > Share > Then copy the link it gives you and paste it

So either the quest is for a different kind of Ogre than the one you're killing or double check the pawn and make sure there isn't a "Completed" before the quest as you can only do it once until the other person refreshes it.

Swapped pawns again and it finally worked.
