Wandering Pawns and Dragon Plague
So I was exploring around and suddenly my main pawn said "I feel like I've been possessed with a greater power".

I have not been to a rift in a while, nor changed my party members. The instant she said that, a wandering pawn joined our fight with a cyclops. So I am inclined to believe wandering pawns can infect your pawns.

Makes sense, but didn't see it mentioned anywhere.

Now then....which city shall I destroy....

--update--
It was a Capcom pawn that wandered by and infected us, just in case anyone was curious.

With an infinite supply of Eternal Wakestone (you can dupe it with forgery) murdering a settlement no longer concerns me. XD

I've been wondering for a while if the wandering pawns can get Dragonsplague from Drakes because the Drakes has a chance of infecting a pawn if it manages to posses them.

The thing I wonder is, if a wandering pawn or a rented pawn in my game brings the plague back to the owner, or if it is just randomized on the players end who has plague or not.

Ok, cultivating this dragon's plague seems kind of difficult, it keeps getting passed around between the pawns I have and I think it may be resetting the progress. I'm gonna get it on my main pawn and then dismiss the rentals to try and hatch some chaos.

Kind of surprised how easily/accidentally it happens for others when this is the third time I've tried to pop a dragon plague to no avail.

That's right yes. If Dragonsplague jumps to another pawn, it will stall for that day, it will not advance to the next level of infection. Also at the highest levels of infection, it will reset to 'stage 7' (out of 10) when it jumps, so yes, having multiple pawns means a high chance of the infection stalling and resetting.

Have it on your main and dismiss the hirelings. The infection will then advance uninterrupted on your main.

Took a bit, but got it! Goodbye Vernworth! (I didn't just camp over and over till it happened, let it go naturally. This seems way harder to trigger if you just play than people say it is. Also tons of signs and time to address it).

Keep swapping your rented pawns as you level, watch the eyes, and LISTEN to your pawns. They say very specific lines to let you know. Also they hold their heads and grimace their faces as if in pain.

She said things like:
"Master's it's as if I am filled with some sort of magical power"
"I don't think that is a very efficient order"

Anyway, fun times! NG++ time now (been looting every chest in game, doing unmoored chests next and then NG++ to go back to happy times and then call it a day on this game.
Probably going to make my pawn some sort of ugly abomination prior to quitting so that she is in the rift for all to see and avoid randomly.

I am curious too - sent an owner as a gift back a rotten fish and I hoped he got the message right. :dsmagic:
