About the true ending.
I wanted to clarify a question, when breaking the cycle, I understand that the pawns, arisen, and perhaps the dragon, stop making sense if the cycle is broken, so, they all disappear/die/whatever you want to say? The true ending is kind of confusing haha.

The true ending is somewhat confusing in regards to what happened to the arisen and the pawn (although the latter can be understood to die)

I'm just here to say about the first games endings:

First ending being, you become a former arisen basically, as technically you lost the will to fight against the dragon like the DragonForged.
2nd, you don't fight Seneschal and get to live out the rest of your life in a fake "perfect" world.
3rd, dying to Seneschal you become the Dragon.
4th, you defeat Seneschal, linger as a Seneschal along with your pawn, or kill yourself with Godsbane and your pawn becomes you in the "normal" world.
Cycle never ends anyway.

No idea about this games endings, still exploring the world at level 75, 1.5 vocations still to max out. Will be fun to find out the endings.
Peace I'm out.

you're thinking about it more than the people who wrote it.

Nope. If you kill yourself as the seneschal the cycle ends. The Seneschal is basically the DM. When the DM dies, there is no one to select the next DM, hence the cycle is broken.

DD2 is just a lame reboot.
