It is RNG if a raid happen it can be destroyed. Buy or find a new one. All spare kits should go into your stash, just in case.
So one answer is saying they're always destroyed, and the other is saying it is RNG based with an additional modifier related to the kit's quality.
Could either of you supply a source so I know which is right?
I used an elite camping kit and got raided 10 times or so before it was gone.
I also had basic kits which lasted more than 1 raid.
The RNG is the most plausible theory. The higher the quality, the less chance the kit is destroyed during a raid whatever the mobs' level of threat.
The source is that I've both lost and not lost camping kits when getting raided. So it's up to you whether or not you want to believe that or not.
