Does the game still have massive performance issues?
I bought the game on release, realized it wouldnt play to my preferred level of quality (i would like a minimum 60 fps at 1440p. and it could not achieve that in towns, outside of town its mostly fine at around 60-80.

PC specs:
Ryzen 5 5600x
RTX 3070
32gb ram
windows 10

if anyone has settings to get a stable 60 (even if i have to reduce the resolution a bit to 1080p i would consider it. but It really hurts my eyes to play at 30fps and the stuttering is very bad.

***please do not come into this thread to just be vitriolic, if you cant help or wont then dont say anything.***

It got a small performance update around launch but not much since. General consensus is that it helped but didn't fix everything.

You own the game so why not try it out for yourself ?

you could try change CPU priority to high for DD2.exe
3080 cant run 4k without DLSS. barely runs40-60 fps 2560x1440 on progressive quality setting

Not much changed i7 8700k cant run 25-30 FPS in action in specific locations.

i consider 55+ fps to be bareminimum for good experience. The game was designed for stable 60 frames to be played on hence code for mods always count seconds in frames, like 3600 frames is 60 seconds

Try Imageing scaling on nvidia control panel. to 60-70%
then, either play on DLSS quality 10/10 or Interlaced 10/10. (However Progressive 10/10 just looks like the Manufacturer intended setting for advertised graphic fidelity)
2Gb graphic setting instead of 3GB, this helps and doesnt impact quality too much.
4x or 8x Anistropic filtering
Shadows High/Maxed. For High, you will need TAA enabled to remove shadow clipping/flickering

Remove Lanterns from Pawns. Hurts performance alot.

still runs like crap, cant even get 100% fluid 60fps with dlss on with i5 13600k and 4080 in city, but I am enjoying the game anyway

yep, it's still pretty bad

Yes. None of the patches have even mentioned fixing the performance issues.
