REVIVING PAWNS CHANGE TO AoE IS NEEDED
For the love of god, PLEASE change the pop up to "Revive" a pawn, work as an area of effect!!

I hate wasting time in the middle of a fight trying to position my character in the exact pinpoint position in order to get the option to revive them.

Even when pawns foolishly fall off a cliff and need reviving. By the time I have worked my way down to them, trying to beat the clock before they are dead. Only to arrive at the pawn and play this silly game where I try to position myself to get the pop up. Many times the pop is there, but then goes away once I stopped moving, because my character's rest position moved him ever so slightly. It's maddening that I am right next to the pawn. I'm facing the pawn, and yet..... the stupid game does not want to pop up the option to revive them.

Fighting a dragon at level 20 is already an almost suicidal endeavor, but damned if I don't wast 30 seconds trying to move left, right, back, forth just to get the revive option. Meanwhile the dragon is trying to freaking KILL me.

Strange, I´ve never really had any trouble triggering the revive.

Reviving at range is an ability specific to Magick Archer. Aside from that, pawn revival in the first game was instantaneous and diminished the combat difficulty significantly. I'm glad they balanced it.

As far as falling to irretrievable depths during exploration: try running away from the area a little ways and running back. Chances are the pawn will respawn closer to you. The same mechanic that auto-spawns your pawns closer to you when you're running/climbing/dropping too fast for the AI to keep up with still triggers when they are unconscious.

Yes. But this is obviously not about the magic archer.

Really, why do I even bother posting here. People seldom address the issue being raised. All most do here is go off on a tangent or pretend the issue does not exist

You can also AOE revive pawns normally, they just have to be close together and picking up one also picks up the other.

Yeah that is true, if two pawns go down next to each other you can revive them at the same time. I'm referring to just trying to revive one pawn and the game needs you to be within a few inches of some predetermined position, or else no revive option appears.

I'd like it to change to allowing the revive option in a more forgiving radius, not the current restriction the requires exact placement of your character in relation to the pawn, to get the revive option.

I'm playing on PC, maybe the game changes the requirements for a game console

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's just popped up whenever I wander near them. I've certainly never had to wiggle back & forth to get it.

How strange.

What he means is that when you're close to your downed pawn, if you turn 90 degrees in a direction, the button isn't there anymore.
Sometimes it also happens if you made an extra step while stopping from a run, and it's very annoying.

No. You need to look at what you want to interact with.

Oh course i am looking at my pawn when I'm trying to revive it. You cannot but help looking at the pawn, since you ran over to it.

Just forget i even asked. I'll just play a magic archer and then this stupid game will allow me to revive my pawn, without trying to overcome this glitchy revive positioning mechanic.

place all of them close to each other and then revive they can be about a 2 bodies apart and will revive all of them.

if you have a pawn who is inclined to bring pawns to your location when they go down lure the carrying pawn to the other pawn thats having a bad time...then revive one of them. both stand up....or play magic archer/warfarer.
Arthur Morrigan Apr 10, 2024 @ 6:38pm
This is not something I have ever struggled with.
Chaos Apr 10, 2024 @ 7:00pm
Yeah, it's was way easier back in DD1 too, just run near them , press F real fast and we are back in business.

Not sure why they go with this super slow 3 secs angle locked animation thing.
So all we can do is try to not let pawns die too often now
