Port Crystals vanished

Hi, I am on my second run in Dragons Dogma. I was now dealing with the sphinx and placed one of the port crystals that obtain from her in those mountains, close to where she lives The port crystal disappeared from my inventory but was not placed either. Then I went even further and put another one. The same thing happened again.

Not sure if it is a bug since in this same run I have put 3 port crystals on other sides of the map. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Portcrystals get moved to storage when you start NG+.

If google it, it will tell all about that stuff. Like they remove your placed port Crystals, and you lose all affinity's with NPC's. When playing NG+

So unlike these other posters who jumped at the "ng+ stashes your port crystals" without actually reading the post...

You sure you used Port Crystals and not "Part Crystals" at the Sphinx? She gives a fake/forgery type of port crystal as reward for the madness puzzle after she's given you one good one during one run, so you might've accidentally used (and maybe even used the conviction puzzle to make a copy of) the fake crystal(s)? (Granted, I'm not even sure if you can place the fake ones)

Also; I lost my placed port crystals randomly in the unmoored world once, and only thing that could fix that was reloading a previous resting save, but that doesn't quite sound like your issue.

You are somewhat right about the "partcyrstal" you can use it, but it doesn't place it. You eat it when you use a partcrystal. Which goes to say that they may have used partcrystals instead of portcrystals.

As for people placing portcrystals and them not appearing. I haven't heard anyone else have that issue without them realizing that they were partcrystals. So most likely, yeah, they weren't real portcrytsals that the author was using.

They may have to double check their storage for their normal portcrystals or count how many other crystals they have out to see if they have used all that they have.

Ohhh that could be what happened! I didn’t read the item name, but yeah she might gave me a fake port crystal for my second run lol. Stupid sphinx, I planned to loot her all over again lol

Thank you guys this helped me a lot I was stressing I literally did the same thing dropped a port crystal right by the sphynx and I panicked because it wasn’t in my inventory and nothing was on the ground haha

Part crystals are actually really great, IIRC. They are basically all-heal potions that can heal your max HP without needing to rest.

Can confirm on NG+ Sphinix gives a partcrystal instead.

Now, did anyone test, if the first time before NG+ and you are NOT dupe the Port Crystal, and instead dupe it with the Sphinx for the first time on NG+, will you get Port Crystal instead of Part Crystal?

I never did the sphinx quest I'm on my third play through and this happened to me I never make one from the scrap shop either not sure where I got it from.

This isnt new game plus problem. U have to put it as far away from staits at sphinc or the game removes jt from inventory and it doesent get down as well
