Can I Romance my Pawn?

There is apparently a Affinity 1,000 threshold on Main Pawns. Once I reach that max. (can farm Affinity by changing appearance once per day. +50 each time.) I think half way to the threshold, my Pawn blushes. But is there anything to that once I reach max threshold?

The blushing starts around 600, and the only change is a short scene during the ending.

Dang, really? Missed opportunity. This could have been a Dark Arisen like feature, because by lore, a Pawn can develop free will and fall in love.

Every 10 minutes go spend 10k and change the gloss on their hair by 1 up or down thats a very quick way of maxing it out fast.

Also not to spoil, but the ending dialogue is definitely worth it

Define "romance" :-)

You cannot "romance" your pawn.
But the pawn will show his "affection" to you in the mentioned scene, in some dialogues and by blushing in some situations if affinity is high enough...and that's all.

So basically "romance" for 13 years old kids in a 18+ game ;-)

Some said, the pawn will "sit next to to you when you take the oxcart instead of walking in front of it" but I never saw this and my pawn has 100% affinity (1000).

Actually you can't even "romance" any npc (unless you count the "we are having sex" scene for prude people with Wilhelmina or the "let's watch the water" scene with Ulrika blush blush blush blush as "romance")

High fives, changing equipment, hot spring and talking to them also raises affinity according to the mod author who created the affinity counter.

That happened once with me randomly, ONCE! lol So I quickly opened the Photo Mode to capture that historic moment!
I honestly think it is a bug that they walk instead of riding with you, cuz they often mention "putting our bags down" and "walking everywhere is tiring"... etc.

Never experienced it and I'm traveling with oxcart all the time now only to see this. So maybe it will eventually come at a random trigger.

That's exactly what I'm doing. Man I dedicated hours making her very attractive lol. Bronze skin, blue eyes, gloss skin, perfect body. >.< Too bad I can't romance her. Oh well, at least the Ai is very competent.

In DDDA the pawn becomes the Arisen in one of the endings. Think the lore was about the arisen being replaced by the pawn.

Nearing 200h, currently in the end of my sixth run. Never managed to get high enough affinity with my pawn for their extra scene. 😭

I indeed got that scene triggered today for the first time; it was cute. But don't ask me what triggers it because it is very random as it seems.

I didn't have the counter on while NG, but it was a lengthy playthrough and I regularly did things for my Pawn, Even during unmoored world, I took her to the hot springs and a haircut XD
I wonder if I'd gotten the extra scene?
During the ending, she turned into a small dragon, and said I'd given her a gift beyond measures
