Question about endings with spoiler
How do I get the true ending for extra content?

I was trying to use the godsbane sword while Im riding it, but I cant use items, it makes land.
Then if I use it, it just offers me to use a wakestone.

Am I suppose to defeat the dragon and then do something with the sword?
The game has me terrified of missing the true ending so Im stoping here to ask.

Your marked answer is wrong. You have to use the godsbane while you are riding the dragon and crawl around to it's heart. Use it on yourself. This takes you to the true ending and the unmoored world.

While on the dragon you walk yourself forward until you have that yellow glow around you (near the head/heart area) and that's when you use the sword. You can go to your inventory, click on the sword and click Use, then it'll change your light/heavy attack options to "Use sword" or something so click one of them to use it, watch cutscene and progress to special ending

You have to beat the Dragon because the game will not let you use the godsbane during your first ride, when the game transitions you to Vernworth Castle talk to the NPC sat in the middle of the table on your left, talk to him again and you'll be able to replay the Dragon riding sequence again.

If you want to get the achievement for the regular ending sit on the throne.

Solved:

I had to kill the dragon once. The Exodius spirit gave me a second change, and this time when I climbed to the center of his back, I got a glowing effect and I was able to use Godsbane.

Now Im learning that unmoored world has a time limit?
I cant even chill in the post game haha

I used Godsbane without fighting the dragon. Just climb down to the heart and use it.

You can disable the time limit by going to to the red dots that have appeared on the map, interacting with 4 of these beams of light will summon Purganer bosses, there will only be two red beams of light if you managed to take down Talos before he ends up taking a lava bath during the Guardian Gigantus quest.

Another red beam of light will appear in Bakbattahl once you find your pawn, which will trigger a quest for Phaeus and then a Talos head icon will appear on the map (it won't appear if Talos took his lava bath).

Do all this and a final red beam of light will appear at the sea floor shrine, this will take you to NG+ so don't interact with it until your ready.

I didn't know you could actually do that when I posted that comment.

Yeah I've been reading about this but you said something I didnt know and seems very usefull. I did stop Talos early at my second try and got the trophy (the heel weakpoint bugged in the first attempt).

The guides I checked told me about 4 beams and said it would slow the time limit. But you're saying its completly disabled?

I also read that time doesnt pass if you dont rest at all and you recover by allheals, wakestones etc.

But I dont know if I should trust people haha

I unmarked the answer. In my second attempt when it worked, it did WITHOUT climbing to the heart. I jsut stood up in the center of his back and it triggered, which wouldnt happen in the first attempt.

Guess the hitbox its a bit buggy/unstable considering the movements the dragon is doing while flying.
