Offline play - issue
So... A truck went by the street and broke the 2 fiber cables that I have for internet... The main and the backup link

I thought, no problem I can still have fun with dragons dogma 2 in my third loop

When I try to open the game that I already have downloaded, already have a save, already have pawns hired, why the game don't opens? Capcom, why do I get a pop up telling me to be online for a single player game that I can live without the online pawns for one night while I have problems with my internet?

Why the hell I need internet to even open the game even from the exe file and go to the options to change to play offline and still have fun until the ISP that will come to my house only tomorrow to fix the internet?

What if I want to take the game on my laptop and play somewhere that I don't have internet?

Why do you do this to this game? Why are you pulling the same moves as Ubisoft that just killed the game The Crew that was a bunch of people still playing?

Dragons Dogma Dark Arisen I can play if I don't have internet, the game tells me and put me in the offline mode until I get internet back

Why we can't do the same in Dragons dogma 2? What is the internet requirement to open the title screen or the options that are all files stored in my computer?

I really want to know, why I'm not allowed to play a game that I own, and have all the files on my computer, and have an offline mode that I can't open while I'm offline because of an ISP problem

Dragon's Dogma 2 seems to have an online check at certain points (it definitely had one after the last patch). If you boot it once while online, it should work completely offline afterwards. No error messages on subsequent offline boots.

Not sure how often this check is triggered.

That said, not sure if you're on the kind of data plan where you want to use your phone (which I assume is what you're posting from now) as a WiFi hotspot, but if you are, you can use that to quickly run the game online, shut it down, disconnect the hotspot, and then continue to play offline.

That does bite. If you have a cellular phone that is pretty good, You could create a hotspot in your room but you may need to buy a special usb device for your computer unless it's already wifi enabled, then you can connect your computer to the hotspot wifi you are temporarily hosting on your phone. I have only had to do this a few times but was able to bridge other phones and devices to it when physical cables were cut.

I wish, but here in Brazil they are cheap on infrastructure

Well, the new patch 384 MB might put a bit of a wrench in the whole WiFi hotspot idea, if you've got a restrictive data plan.

My house have horrible 3g coverage, 4g has no signal, and 5g don't even exist in my city yet

Where my desktop is, I can't tether the phone to connect and open the game, and also this isn't a thing I should need to do for a game that I played yesterday night.

I shouldn't need to go out of my way to make something work, what if I discovered that while doing a trip with my laptop

The game has an offline mode, Dragons Dogma Dark Arisen works if you don't have internet

I'm sure this is a dumb denuvo check, and it is so stupid, makes me so angry, I only wanted to play a game that I own, and I have the files on my computer

This really makes me think that I should have a pirate copy THAT WOULD WORK OFFLINE
