Save Files NOT Being Read

Hello,
I need a bit of help!

To cut a long story short, I made a backup DD2 save right before completing the final event of the true ending. After the credits, I wanted to go back again and retry something, so I used the backup save, but the game doesn't recognise the save files. At title screen, there is no option to load, I can only start a fresh new game.

I also have the completed save files for NG+, but the game does not recognise those either. It's just stopped recognising files. To make it even stranger, I used backup save files with this game before only a couple days ago and there were no issues at all, it's only now that it's acting up. I have no idea what's going on. (Also, I have turned of Steam Cloud sync for saves if that makes any odds).

Any ideas?

(Btw, the location files are: Steam > User data > Steam ID> 2054970 > remote > win64_save)

UPDATE: Self-solved the issue. No further actions required.

If you finished the game and get the option of NG+, start a NG+, that will make the game create a new file. You can then quit it and rollback to the previous game you wanted.

Sure, I'm aware of this, I've seen this the NG+ title screen before, and the option to start NG+.

What I'm saying is now the game isn't even recognising any save files. No matter which are present, Pre-NG+ saves or NG saves files, it just acts as if there are no save files there, so the only option is to start a brand new game.

Ah, ok. I don't know then. I had exactly your problem after I finished my game and after starting a new NG+ and quitting I could rollback to any of my previous non NG+ saves

UPDATE:

Okay, I solved the issue.
Basically, I just started the game over and let it do it's first autosave in the gaols. After that, I replaced the save file with my backups and then loaded at the end of the game. I'm not sure what the issue was exactly, but at least it's solved!
